KHIMA 2021-2022 Election Results

Please join the KHIMA Nominating Committee in welcoming the newly elected KHIMA members who will join our association as we lead into this next year strengthening KHIMA’s vision, mission, and values. 

President-Elect - Jaime Richling, RHIA

With over 20+ years of Health Information experience, K+Jaime has been guiding KHIMA members and non-members in HI’s coding and compliance aspects. Jaime’s passion for promoting the HIM profession has kept her actively involved for many years and through multiple roles in KHIMA leadership and advisory roles.

Delegate - Rosann McLean, DHSc, MS, RHIA, CDIP

As the present Department Chair over the BS in HIM degree program at the University of Kansas Medical Center and with her HI industry and academia experience, Rose hopes to serve the KHIMA members by drawing on professional and volunteer experience and representing the interests of the Kansas HI profession.

Director - Julie Engelland, RHIT, CCS, CIC

Julie has over 30 years of experience in HIM. As both a consultant and auditor, she provides coding and compliance guidelines to both KHIMA members and non-members. Her service and commitment to KHIMA through being an officer, chairwoman, and committee participant has encouraged others to be positive leaders and influencers in the HIM workplace and communities.

Secretary/Treasurer - Amber Clouse, RHIA

Amber currently oversees the Admissions, HIM and Billing Department at Kingman Community Hospital. Amber will make are the KHIMA members’ voices are heard with a listening ear and an openness to new ideas.

Nominating Committee Member 1 - Kelli McCarty, RHIT

As Director of Revenue Cycle, Kelli McCarty directs and oversees multiple departments, including HIM, Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, and Utilization Review/Case Management at Amberwell Health in Atchison, KS. Kelli is passionate about HI and has dedicated her career to mentoring and assisting others in pursuing their credentials and embarking on their HI profession journey.

Nominating Committee Member 2 - Dawson Ballard, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-P, CPMA

Dawson has been actively involved in promoting and enhancing the HI profession through the AHIMA Coding Council, KHIMA Coding Committee and was named the top COP facilitator in 2008 and 2009. Through listening and input from KHIMA members, Dawson will work to enrich the KHIMA member experience.

Our heartfelt congratulations go out to these folks for stepping up in these leadership roles and their willingness to continue KHIMA’s vision of quality healthcare by advancing Health Information best practices. It is an honor to serve on the KHIMA leadership team and the KHIMA Board looks forward to your contributions and engagement as we strengthen our Association.
