KHIMA Credentialing Exam Reimbursement

Rational

Provide support to the KHIMA membership through reimbursement for costs related to exams and advancing their professional development through microcredentials.

Qualifications

  1. Exam reimbursements are limited to only credentials and microcredentials awarded through AHIMA.
  2. All current KHIMA members are eligible as award recipients, including student members. An award may be issued to a scholarship recipient the same year.
  3. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received an award in the last 12 months.
  4. All complete and eligible applications are considered by KHIMA’s Recognition Committee and awards will be based on availability of funds.
  5. Awards will be capped at $350 per person; funding is determined annually by the Board as resources are available. KHIMA will only reimburse an individual after proof of completion and payment for their exam. The amount to be paid will be the amount on the paid receipt, or $350, whichever is lower.

Application criteria

Provide a written statement explaining the name of exam for which you are requesting reimbursement, the date/location of the exam (or microcredential completion date), and the reason that you are requesting reimbursement. If you have or are currently engaging with KHIMA, provide an explanation of your involvement and how long you have been a member of KHIMA.
